October 30, 2026 : O Captain! My Captain!
I was late getting on the Next Gen train, but I loved it when I finally boarded (we won’t talk about my timing with Voyager…). There are many reasons to enjoy the show, but you have to put Patrick Stewart near the top of the list. While I loved his portrayal of Picard (and Professor X), I think I’ll remember Patrick Stewart as Deputy Director Avery Bullock.
The comedic timing was just so spot on. With all of Patrick Stewart’s characters, I couldn’t imagine anyone else playing them. He defined the roles and enhanced them.
Now maybe it’s time for me to re-watch some Next Gen…
