January 14, 2009 : Why Do They Rock So Hard?
This past Monday, Reel Big Fish played at the House Of Blues – and it was pretty awesome. I have been a fan for a while and saw them perform before. Needless to say, expectations were high. As anticipated, they did not disappoint.
Pretty much everything about the show was thoroughly enjoyable: the exuberant energy, the sweet playlist, covering ‘Enter Sandman, the sound system, the six versions of S.R. - everything.
A pleasant surprise was hearing Streetlight Manifesto open beforehand. They were pretty impressive. Luckily, I heard several of their songs via Pandora (along with ones by the frontman’s previous band, Catch 22).Â
All in all, good times. Now only if MU330 would come back to Chicago.
