The short hasn&#8217;t really lit up the awards scene, but Unself has given animation fans a present with a cool <a title=\"Merry Christmas, indeed.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.theblueumbrellamakingofholidaycalendar.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Making Of Blog<\/a> for the short.\u00c2\u00a0Each day in December through Christmas Eve, the director unveils a new behind-the-scenes look into the making of the short.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pivisuals.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/BlueAndRed.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1540\" title=\"My umbrella needs an umbrella.\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pivisuals.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/BlueAndRed-300x124.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"124\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pivisuals.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/BlueAndRed-300x124.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.pivisuals.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/BlueAndRed-1024x424.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.pivisuals.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/BlueAndRed.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The site gives unique insight into Pixar&#8217;s process for creating the short, and I am sure in many ways it mirrors what is done for features (just on a much smaller scale).\u00c2\u00a0You can easily find the film online; and while I didn&#8217;t think it was their best work, it was original and had its moments. I would recommend watching it out before you delve into the entries &#8211; it allows you to get a better appreciation for the development of the short as it progressed through the process.
