{"id":128,"date":"2008-12-03T14:28:38","date_gmt":"2008-12-03T20:28:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pivisuals.com\/news\/?p=128"},"modified":"2008-12-03T14:30:24","modified_gmt":"2008-12-03T20:30:24","slug":"raskolnikov-filibuster-deoxymonohydroxinate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pivisuals.com\/news\/2008\/12\/raskolnikov-filibuster-deoxymonohydroxinate\/","title":{"rendered":"Raskolnikov Filibuster Deoxymonohydroxinate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yeah, it&#8217;s been too long since my last post.\u00c2\u00a0 Between the holidays and things being generally hectic, it hasn&#8217;t left very much time to post anything new.\u00c2\u00a0 However, there have been a few cool things worth sharing.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a title=\"Could Be Cool\" href=\"http:\/\/ojustme.com\/2008\/trailer-astro-boy\/\" target=\"_blank\">Astro Boy Teaser<\/a> does not divulge very much content, but it still looks like it could be good.\u00c2\u00a0 While seeing Astro in 3D form does take some getting used to, it doesn&#8217;t appear to detract from the overall coolness of the manga\/anime.\u00c2\u00a0 Besides, <a title=\"Up and Coming Studio?\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imagi.com.hk\/web\/\" target=\"_blank\">Imagi Animation Studios<\/a> was responsible for the 3D <a title=\"Turtle Power\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/TMNT_(2007_film)\" target=\"_blank\">TMNT<\/a> movie, which looked well done.<\/li>\n<li>The fourth (and potentially final) straight to DVD Futurama Movie, <a title=\"Hopefully More Will Be On the Way\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Futurama:_Into_the_Wild_Green_Yonder\" target=\"_blank\">Into the Wild Green Yonder<\/a>, will be released in late February.\u00c2\u00a0 It should be pretty good, but it is worth mentioning because Seth McFarlane is supposed to do a guest voice.\u00c2\u00a0 This is interesting since it seemed that McFarlane and Groening always had an odd relationship since the start of <a title=\"Inspiration For This Post's Title\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Family_guy\" target=\"_blank\">Family Guy<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 Obviously not as acromonious as McFarlane&#8217;s relationship with Trey Parker and Matt Stone, but there always seemed to be resentment or jealousy or something off.\u00c2\u00a0 Apparently Groening and McFarlane have gotten past prior grievances.<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Oh My God...I'm John Travolta!\" href=\"http:\/\/disney.go.com\/disneypictures\/bolt\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bolt<\/a> is Disney&#8217;s new animated movie (only their third 3D animated film).\u00c2\u00a0 It received good reviews but fell flat during its opening weekend at the box office.\u00c2\u00a0 This was disappointing since it probably was one of their better films in recent history.\u00c2\u00a0 This\u00c2\u00a0most likely\u00c2\u00a0was also the first film that Pixar\u00c2\u00a0had some involvement with since their merger.\u00c2\u00a0 The interesting thing is that word of mouth really helped turn this flick from a disappointment to potential success.\u00c2\u00a0 Its second week at the box office actually saw <a title=\"Insert Joey Lawrence, 'Whoa!'\" href=\"http:\/\/movies.yahoo.com\/news\/movies.reuters.com-quotfour-christmasesquot-gives-box-office-holiday-gift-reuters\" target=\"_blank\">a rise in weekend ticket sales<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 This is usually only seen with independent or lower-budget movies that begin in limited release and slowly expand to more theaters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Soak it all in because\u00c2\u00a0now I&#8217;m spent.\u00c2\u00a0 Later.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yeah, it&#8217;s been too long since my last post.\u00c2\u00a0 Between the holidays and things being generally hectic, it hasn&#8217;t left very much time to post anything new.\u00c2\u00a0 However, there have been a few cool things worth sharing.
