June 14, 2008 : Learning Curve
Learning anything new is definitely a challenge (at least it is if it is something worth learning) – and new software is certainly no exception.
There are pros and cons to embarking on this journey.  The biggest con is the fact that it is just that…a journey. It requires a lot time to truly familiarize oneself with new software. Learning the ins and outs, the methodology, the new shortcuts…it’s definitely an ordeal.
Still, more often than not, it is worth the effort. The challenge in itself is worthwhile. In addition to that, there is the whole ‘broadening your horizons’ thing. It’s definitely something that should be done whenever possible – even with all the time required.
